The family of a teenager who died after being detained by police held a vigil in his memory. Grieving relatives of 18-year-old Mzee Mohammed hold a public show of support following the tragedy, which unfolded in Liverpool ONE on Wednesday evening. The event began at Lime Street station around 1pm before moving towards the spot where he collapsed, after being detained. Mzee’s family led the walk, which followed the route he took on the night. Mzee’s family where at the front of hundreds of supporters leading the way away from Lime chanting “black lives matter”. “What do we want? Justice! When do we want it? Now!” Being chanted by supporters. Passersby stopped to observe the walk. Some clapping, some even joining in the march in support. Mzee’s family were visibly overwhelmed.
