Just a short way from the massive tourist and expatriate housing developments of Marbella Ojen is mainly a town for the Andalucians themselves being sited too far from the beaches to interest holidaymakers and too close to massive limestone and marble quarries The main road to Ojen is superb because of the heavy construction traffic it is built to take and much of the surrounding forested area is given over to protected nature reserves and hunting chases or cazas
