Asmall particle of it on any part of the body means certaindeath to any insect. Pure kerosene, however, will injuremost plants, and hence must be used in a mixture. Thebest of these is what is known as kerosene emulsion. Composition.—The formula for the mixture commonlyused is: Vz pound hard laundry soap shaved fine. 1 gallon of soft water. 2 gallons of kerosene.
