Stream of bats (order Chiroptera) flying out of Deer Cave at Mulu National Park, Sarawak, in Borneo, Malaysia . Every evening, millions of bats emerge from this cave to feed. The areas surrounding the cave are known to be mosquito-free as a result of the bat's feeding habits. They are preyed on by predators such as bathawks (upper right of centre) and snakes which hang from the roof of the cave mouth which snatch at passing bats.
