This hatchling of Chelonia mydas agassisi (Common Green Sea Turtle, Galapagos Green Turtle, Green Sea Turtle) was discovered entrapped by a crab. It was set free at Urvina Bay Isabela Island Galapagos Ecuador. Chelonia mydas agassisi is a subspecies of the Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas). It is endemic to the tropical and subtropical waters of the Pacific Ocean. The Galápagos Green Turtle, along with all other population of Green Sea Turtle, is listed as endangered on the IUCN Red List of threatened species
