A folly named after a princess overlooking bodies in a natural woodland burial Gothic folly built to complete the designed vista which extends southeast from Mellerstain in the Scottish Borders, Hundy Mundy occupies a spectacular location a mile ( km) northeast of Smailholm and 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Kelso. Begun in 1726 and comprising a tall archway between square towers, which are capped by pyramids, it was the work of William Adam (1689 - 1748) who had been the architect
