KURIL LAKE, RUSSIA: THE SHOCKING moment a ravenous half-tonne cannibal bear killed and ate a hapless youngster has been captured on camera. Images show how the nine foot-tall adult male Kamchatka brown bear stalking the three-year old victim, before attacking him in the water. The young bear just managed a brief struggle in the water before being bitten and dragged to the shore where it was finally killed and eaten. Mathematician Mikhail Korostelev (34) from Moscow was bear-watching at Kuril Lake in the far east of Russia when he witnessed the rare killing.
