The Law Courts in Armada Way, which serves both the County and Crown Courts (formerly the Quarter Sessions), were designed by Mr H J W Stirling, the City Architect, and constructed by Messrs Richard Costain (Construction) Ltd. They were opened by Lord Denning, PC., the Right Honourable Master of the Rolls, on Tuesday April 16th 1963.
