Voskhod 1, commemorative stamp. Postage stamp commemorating the flight of the Soviet Voskhod 1 mission. Voskhod-1 set a number of records: it was the first spaceflight with more than one crew member, was the first to be flown without the crew wearing spacesuits and set a new height record of 336km. It was launched on 12 October 1964 carrying cosmonauts Vladimir Komarov (1927-1967), Konstantin Feoktistov (1926-2009) and Boris Yegorov (1937-1994). The spacecraft made 16 orbits of Earth before landing the following day.
