Flowering Guelder Rose / Viburnum opulus shrub growing in a hedgerow (see Notes). Berries may be eaten once cooked, and former medicinal herbal plant.

Guelder Rose grows in areas where the soil has a high moisture content. In this instance there is a large drainage ditch running along behind the flowering shrub which, in this case, is also a traditional country grass verge running alongside a road. So soil at times gets very wet. Also growing in this area is the very poisonous Hemlock Water-Dropwort.
