They were both born on Christmas Day and leads to a day of quadruple celebrations. Nicky said:'' Lexie and I are both first-born children and we both saw the light of day at the same hospital, St Mary's in Portsmouth. It is quite bizarre how it has worked out. ''Mark is very good at making sure we each have separate birthday and Christmas presents and the families always make sure the gift-wrapping is different and says on it birthday and Christmas. The easy thing would be to give us combined presents. '' We have a set routine on Christmas morning ever year. We open our Christmas stockings when we get up and then unravel our birthday presents. '' Christmas lunch is followed by the opening of Christmas presents in the afternoon. But in the evening we revert to birthdays, opening our presents and having a tea to celebrate our birthdays.'' There was almost a third Christmas Day and birthday link. Nicky, who works as a personal assistant, said her father, Ken Williams was born on December 22. Mark, 33, a naval petty officer, led the celebrations at the family home in Gosport, Hampshire as usual yesterday after a busy spell in the shops getting the right gifts. '' For Lexie, having Christmas and her birthday on the same day is normal. I really have to think about what to get them and in the end it is the thought that counts. Lexie's birthday present this year was a bike. '' Luckily Nicky loves Christmas, which makes my life easier. Christmas is a special time of year and with these double birthdays, it is always even more special.'' Nicky's best-ever present? '' No doubt about that
