Tortoise in the Charles Darwin Research Station. CDRS is a biological research station operated by the Charles Darwin Foundation, Galapagos Islands, Santa Cruz, Puerto Ayoro. Ecuadorian and foreign scientists work constantly on research and projects for conservation of the Galapagos terrestrial and marine ecosystems. Puerto Ayora is the most populated town in the Galápagos Islands, with more than 10,000 inhabitants.
