Theopenings leading into the offices are provided with registers andmeans for shutting them oflf. The coils and fans are located directlyabove the boiler. The steam is taken from the dome, carried to thetop of the coils, the water condensations being led from the bottom. .\RR.\ OF .\PP.\RATUS. of these coils directly back to the boiler below the water line. Thisreturn connection is provided with a Daniells section tee for equal-izing the pressure between the coils and the boiler. The system isdesigned for using any pressure up to 100 lb. \o pumps are neces-sary for retuniing the water to the boiler, and after the motor isstarted the system will require no .ittention than that of 3common house heating .system. The Green Bay Traction Co. has recently shortened the runningtime of its cars between Kaukauna and Green Bay. Wis. The dis-tance between these two cities is 23 miles and the running time 55minutes, which allows an hourly schedule with a tive-minute lay-over. In this distance of 2S miles there are 10 steam road crossingsat which tlie electric cars must be stopped and flagged ahead, andthere is also a trackage of 3 miles in city streets, and a swingingdraw bridge at which a stop must always be made.
