Dovetailed iron folding rear sight and brass front sight. Spring loaded sliding tapered breechblock. Side mounted magazine for 20 round balls. Cast brass receiver finely engraved with a hound lying next to a dead stag under a leafy tree, and the rest of the brass furniture is also finely engraved with hunting themes.
