The earings, the favorite ornaments of the former Empress consists of of two great pear shaped emerald pendants surrounded by ten diamonds graduating in size from a little less to a little more than a carat. The pendant is attached to a pin with a hexagonal emerald s surrounded by thirteen diamonds of half a carat each. All the stones are of excellent quality and the emeralds are especially clear and beautiful. The jewels which were personally directed as to design to the Jeweler was the last gift given by Napoleon to his Empress. The stones were found at Cartier's Jewelers on Fifth Avenue yesterday.
