Duart Castle on the Isle of Mull in Scotland


Duart Castle is the ancestral home of the clan Maclean. The castle stands on a mound at the end of the peninsular jutting out into the Sound of Mull. The earliest recorded mention of the castle was in 1367. The castle has undergone major restoration in recent years and is open to the public.
