HEIDE GERMANY - October 2005: A wind power installation dominates farm land near the town of Heide in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. Situated between Germany's two coastlines the northern state has invested heavily in new renewable energies. In 2005 there were wind turbines in Schleswig-Holstein generating over 30% of the state's energy. Wind power accounts for 6 7% of Germany's overall energy needs. (Photo by Katja Heinemann/Aurora)
