Akazome Emon was a Japanese waka poet and early historian who lived in the mid-Heian period. She is a member both of the Thirty Six Elder Poetic Sages (Chūko Sanjūrokkasen) and the Thirty Six Female Poetic Sages (Nyōbō Sanjūrokkasen).
