A German pin-fire revolver (Valentin Christoph Schilling), Suhl, circa 1870 Cal. 9 mm SF, no. 2393. Octagonal barrel, bright six-groove bore, length 130 mm. Total length 240 mm. Six shots. Closed frame. Double action. On left side of barrel housing marked " / 2393 / S", with the Gothic "S" presumably symbolising the inspection stamp for Suhl or the "S" with double-meaning to represent "Schilling, Suhl".
