Palacio del Abdad, Real Monasterio de Santa Maria de la Valldigna, Simat de Valldigna, Valencia Province, Spain
Ruins of the 14th century Palacio del Abdad (Abbot's Palace), within the monastic enclosure. The monastery of Santa Maria de la Valldigna was founded by Jaime II el Just, when in 1298 he ceded the land to the abbot of Santes Creus for a new Cistercian foundation. The complex has been undergoing restoration since the Valencia Regional Government acquired it in 1991.
