An unusual view of the disused slate quarry on the northern side of Elidir mountain in North Wales Snowdonia UK.
The slate quarry was closed in 1969 but still has a major impact on the view of the mountain. Little flora grows on the waste slate. The quarries workings extend from high on the mountain to the valley bottom where the villages of Nant Peris and Llanberis lie, along with Llyn Padarn.
