Every year, Amsterdam’s Elm trees blossom and scatter the city’s streets with a blanket of Elm seeds that has come to be known as ‘spring snow’. This natural phenomena is featured in the popular young adult novel The Fault in Our Stars (TFiOS) by John Green. It's not in the film that was made from the book, because filming took place in autumn. The original canal side bench from the film is on the left. A romantic spot looking out over the Leidsegracht Canal and the Herengracht Canal that is a favorite of young couples and fans of the TFiOS book and film.
