Oxford, England - 25 August 2017; several people in shot walking along Broad Street. Founded in 1263, Balliol is one of OxfordÕs oldest and largest colleges; it is located on Broad Street, at the historic heart of the city. Like all Oxford Collages, it has produced many Nobel laureates, British Prime Ministers and luminaries over its long history. It is a little known fact that Balliol is famed for its tortoises. One is always in residence, cared for assiduously by a designated student known as ÔComrade TortoiseÕ. Every June, mascot tortoises from many colleges gather at Balliol for a race. A very slow race.
