(Waterhouse) Chevalier, ofMedford, Mass.; was born Jan. 31, 1887, at Providence, Hewas educated at Ogdensburg Academy, , Medford HighSchool, class of 1904; Harvard College, class of 1908, , lived for nine years in the Far East and travelled vice-captain of the Shanghai Rowing Club, Shanghai, China. For three years he served in the American Company, Shanghai,Volunteer Corps, Shanghai, China. He served through the ChineseRebellion of 1913, and was honorably discharged in 1916, with therank of Corporal. From Shanghai he returned to enlist in at Cambridge, Mass., on Aug. 31, 1917. He attended theGround School, , from Sept. 13 to Nov. 10, 1917. He sailedoverseas Nov. 27, 1917, as an enlisted man, flying cadet. In April, 1918, he took a machine-gun course at First Corps School
