Daniel Forrester, aged 45, 1844. '...the banking-house of Messrs. Rogers, Olding, and Co., No. 29, on the east side of Clement's-lane [in the City of London]', had been the scene of a robbery. A clerk, named Burgess, and his accomplice Elder, stole £8,000. Burgess fled to America, but two of the bank's officers, John and Daniel Forrester, were instrumental in Burgess's arrest.
