Legs and Toes.—If the thighs are long and small, cut onepoint; if plumage of same be white, cut one point; shankslong and slim, cut one point; if pale yellow, cut one point;cutting one point for each crooked toe. If feathers appear onthe shanks, or if legs and toes be any other color thanyellow—if straw color, they should be cut one and one-halfpoints; if the front be clouded with a dusky color, the rearof the shank being yellow, cut one and one-half points;but the legs being wholly flesh color, blue, willow or black, m *»-*= ^js, THE HEN.
