FORT SMITH, AR, USA - AUGUST 10, 1975 -- A line of newly-arrived Vietnamese refugees stand and wait for the passing of President Gerald Ford. The president is to be touring the Fort Chaffee Vietnamese refugee center and welcoming the evacuated South Vietnamese to the United States. Behind the people stands a row of the barracks buildings that housed the refugees. Focus is on the center of the line of people.
