Under Secretary of the Army Joseph W. Westphal administers the oath of office to Maj. Gen. Karen Dyson, Aug. 27, 2012 at the Women in Military Service for America Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery, Va. Dyson is currently the director for Army Budget, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army Financial Management & Comptroller. She is the first female Army Finance Corps officer to achieve the rank of major general.
