Fritz Behn (1878 - 1970) - a blue eagle., A blue painted plaster model of a perching eagle with head leaning forward and the right talons outspread. Height ca. 46 cm. It comes with the matching design sketches on paper and four other pictures of eagles. Professor Fritz Behn, was a student from 1898 - 1900, and then professor after 1925 at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, Professor of Sculpture in Vienna 1939 - 1945. Among his best-known works are the Bremen Colonial Statue, the Statue of Bismarck at the Deutsches Museum in Munich, as well as portraits of Rilke,,
