Price, two for 5 cents; 25 cents per dozen. PEACOCK IRIS, Iris, Pavonia—(Peacock Iris.) This beautiful Iris is very attractive. It is a sky-blue color, with a peacock eye of dark blue on each side of the petals. It certainly is a gem. Price, two for 5 cents; 25 cents per IXIAS. The Ixias produce their beautiful flowers in spikes, and are of the most dazzling and brilliant colors and sure to attract great attention. It is only a few years that they have been grown in this country to any extent, but in that time, like the Freesias, they have become very popular. For pot cul- ture in the house they give great satisfaction, being easy of culture and free bloomers. Plant in October (six to eight in a 5-inch pot) in sandy loam, one inch deep, pressing the soil firmly over the bulbs. Put away in a cool cellar or frame and cover with ashes. Water sparingly until the flower spikes appear. They may then be brought to the light and given plenty of air, sunshine and water. Finest new English sorts in variety. Price, 3 cents each; two for 5 cents; 15 cents per dozen. SPARAXIAS. These differ from the Ixias in their dwarf habit, time of flowering and brilliancy of coloring, ranging through the va- rious shades of crimson, scarlet and white, mottled, striped and-splashed in every conceivable manner.
