Sgt. Eikelberry took this photograph on November 6, 1918, in Cheppy, Meuse, France. The image depicts a line of dugouts that were originally prepared by the Germans but are now being used by the 1st Brigade as headquarters. Despite occasional shell bombardment, luckily no one was present in the Brig. Adjt. office when a shell entered.
