(Gr., "a male-f ;) ^lediuni-sized black or broTvn species, having the legs and an- tenna^ long and slender; terminal joint of maxillary palpi slender, triangular, its very oblique apex almost as long as the outer side; hind angles of thorax, especially those of female, acute and much prolonged backwards. One of the two recognized species has'been taken in the State, while the other may occur. KEY TO SPECIES OF AXDKOCHIBDS. (/. Deep black; femora reddish-brown, the tiblee and tarsi iiiceous. FEMORATUS. aa. Grayish-black; legs pale reddish-yellow throughout. 2370. ESYTHROPrS. A. femorahis Oliv., length 9-10 mm., is a southern species which has been recorded from Cincinnati. 2370 (7631).
