Fjruit large, yellow with heavy blush of light red; flesh fine grained, firm; flavor sub-acid, very juicy and exceptionally fine for cider. Transcendent. Season, September. Fruit me- dium to large; color brownish-yellow with blush of carmine; flesh Arm and crisp, yel- lowish, fine grained, very juicy, acid. Tree is a vigorous grower. Hardy. Subject to blight and should not be planted near other orchard trees. Whitney. Season, August. Fruit large to very large for a hybrid; yellow, striped with red and mostly covered with red on sunny side; flesh yellow, very juicy and fine grained; fla- vor rich and almost sweet.
