St. George's waterfront seen from cruise ship. Grenada, West Indies, Caribbean.

St. George's waterfront seen from cruise ship. Built by the French in 1650, St. George's is the capital city of Grenada. This beautiful city, facing a horseshoe-shaped harbor called The Carenage, is surrounded by a hillside of an old volcano crater. The waterfront is lined with elegant colonial buildings and colorful Caribbean style dwellings, restaurants, bar and shops. The center of the city is crossed by steep, narrow streets full of shops and people.
