A Central Indian cavalry armour,Deccan-Highlands,17th century. Chain mail shirt with long sleeves made of riveted rings in various sizes. Breast and sides reinforced with plates,the back with three rows of smaller lames. Eight fastening hooks at the front. Cleaned condition without visible defects. Length ca. 95 cm. Rare mail hood made of riveted rings with integral crown plate and old textile liner. Length circa 30 cm.
