Expressionist facade design from 1921 on the Lightning-House at Otto-Richter Straße 2 in Magdeburg, Germany
The residential building No. 2 in Otto-Richter-Strasse in Magdeburg was built around 1908 according to plans by the architects August Pitt and H. Messinger. In 1921, the façade was designed expressively by Carl Krayl, in bright colours and pushing back the existing ornamentation. The Lightning-House, as it is popularly known, was faithfully restored from 1998 onwards.
