Long Island, New York: Sippewiset, Marsh on Cape Cod. Massachusetts; Sapelo Island, Georgia; and Duval and 'aim Beach Counties in Florida. Specimens of G. d. granossinia, 6 to 8 cm li ig, were collected in Florida from Duval, Yolusia, Franklin and Sarasota count!" The soft parts were removed and the shells retained for sectioning.
