The plants are of free-branching habit, about 18 inches high; the very double flowers, averaging 3> inches across, are borne freely on stems a foot long from early in August till the close of Sep- tember. ASTERMUM ASTERS. ~y A strain of Comet Asters which on account of their size and Chrysanthemum-like appearance, have appro- priately been named Astermums.
