There is a single pair of small pilot wheels at eachend of the locomotive, but nearly all the weight is on thedrivers. They are doing considerable work of extensionat Lecco, building a large addition to the three-phase yards,and, escaping the eyes of the officials, I wandered downinto it and investigated.
