A splendid winter flowering variety; flow- ers last a long time after being cut. CHINESE SACRED LILY. Produces very large bulbs, measuring from 12 to 18 inches in circumference, which throw up from five to ten flower spikes, bearing clusters of large, perfect waxy white blossoms with yellow center of a most delicious fragrance. They grow well in pots in a light and sandy soil, but the most successful way of cultivating is as the Chinese do—in water. Flowers freely, and can be planted at any time from October until March. It seldom fails, even with the most careless cultivators, and, take all in all, the bulbs is like the nation from which it comes, a remarkable one. Large, selected bulbs, 10 cents each; per dozen. If by mail, add 5 cents per bulb or 45 cents per dozen for postage. FKEESIA—EEFKACTA ALBA. These are among the mostipopular bulbs for winter blooming in the conservatory or window garden. The bulbs seem small in comparison with the foliage and flower spikes ; the flowers are delightfully fragrant, and after being cut and placed in water remain in good con- dition a long time. Four to six bulbs may be planted in a 4-inch pot. Growth commences at once so they need not be set away to form roots like Hyacinths. By plant- ing early and at intervals a succession of bloom can be had from Christmas on. Refracta Alba. Pure white with small yellow blotch on lower petal, remarkably fragrant and very last- .^^B Flowers are large, of purest white and continue in flower a long time. 2 cents each; 20 cents per dozen.
