The ^ j^;^:: early, small-sized varieties may be sown in drills ten inches apart, but the larger sorts require at least eighteen inches between the tows; cover three-quarters of an inch deep, and when the plants are well up, thin to six inches apart in the rows. As an agricultural root, the carrot is unsurpassed for feeding GUERANDE, CARROT. Earliest French Forcing.
