New Park, Gorbals, Glasgow
The Gorbals area of Glasgow was once a notorious area known for extreme poverty and violence and characterised by extrement poor and overcrowded slum houses. It was redeveloped in the 1960s with high rise flats but the quality of these was poor and they have now been demolished. The Crown Streeet Project is providing high quality, low rise and affordable homes now.
