DNA BioChip plotter test. Testing of the plotter used in the manufacture of DNA BioChips. The DNA BioChip allows cheap and rapid simultaneous analyses for infectious organisms to be carried out on samples of food and blood. This plotter usually prints DNA dots onto a glass slide, but here it is printing ink to test its accuracy. On a working BioChip, each dot contains a different sample of DNA designed to bind to specific genes on the DNA of one of the organisms being tested. A laser scan causes dots with a positive reaction to light up, revealing the presence of the corresponding organism. The DNA BioChip is made at BioChip Technologies, in Freiburg, Germany.
