VanKeuren award (forexcellence in the humanities); the B. B. Freud award (for excellencein chemistry); the Roscoe E. Harris award (for excellence inphysics); and the Deans List of the individual colleges (for all stu-dents with grades of B or better in all courses).. The West Campus—Navy Pier HONORS DAY Honors Day is observed at the Chicago Undergraduate Division asan occasion upon which public recognition is given those students whoexcel in scholarship. The families and friends of the honor studentsare invited to attend the annual convocation, in which students andmembers of the faculty participate. The printed program contains thenames of students to whom honors have been awarded and also theelections to those honorary societies which meet the standard of schol-arship approved by the Senate Committee on Honors.
