In this eye, inspite of the size and situation of the coloboma, thereexists for white no absolute scotoma, the field beingnormal for this color. In regard to these colobomata, several points ofinterest suggest themselves. Johnson in hisarticle says: Very few of the scotomata cor-responded in area or shape with the colobo-mata, as seen with the ophthalmoscope. This,I admit, is directly contrary to the observationsof Schmidt—Rimpler, De Wecher and the case above reported, both visual fieldswere normal in extent, not contracted as inseveral of Johnso
