Within the hatched region the species has a common occurrence. occurrence of Tima bairdii are found in the literature. Thus it seems certain that it does not occur north and west of the North Sea. It is very remarkable and interesting that the distribution of one of the largest species among the Leptoinedusse of the North-European waters is entirely restricted to a comparatively small area. Tima bairdii may be found at different depths. Most frequently it has been found in the upper water layers, but in the Skagerrak it has been found near the bottom at considerable depths, 7'/rr. 105, 140, 254, and 547 Please note that these images are extracted from scanned page images that may have been digitally enhanced for readability - coloration and appearance of these illustrations may not perfectly resemble the original Ingolf (Cruiser); Danish Ingolf-Expedition (1895-1896).
