Speculative reconstruction of a four-poster structure (4) at Castell Henllys thought to be a food store/granary with a raised floor to deter damp & rodents. Defended settlement occupied during the Late Bronze Age & Iron Age c 1000BC-AD60. A spur with steep natural slopes on three sides was further defended by banks & ditches at the N. The site is used for experimental archaeology & reconstructions based on the excavation results & other research.
