The zodiacal light shines brightly with the Milky Way just after sunset above the lights of towns and villages along the Yangtze river in Yunnan province of China. The zodiacal light is an unusual triangle of light visible along the ecliptic before dawn and after dusk under dark skies. It is best seen just after sunset in spring, and just before sunrise in autumn. Also visible is the setting crescent moon among the zodiacal light and airglow over the horizon.
