Paint peeling off a grungy cracked wall with the Star of Daviv figure inside the Great Synagogue built in 1680. in the city of Chortkiv which was once home to a large Jewish community and was annihilated, brutally, by the Germans during the Second World War in Ternopil Oblast (province) in western Ukraine. The synagogue is now a part of the Medical College (Petrushevycha Street) and is used as a warehouse.
