Arnprior Farm near Stirling is one of the country's largest lambing farms, with 1300 ewes giving birth to over 2000 lambs over a two week period at the start of April. The farm, which is owned and run by Duncan and Rebecca McEwan and their children Duncan (12), Floraidh (10) and Erin (6) as well as Duncan Snr's father, also Duncan. They are aided by a team of farmhands as well as students vets from across the country. Every year they invite hundreds of visitors onto the farm at lambing time, to dispel some of the myths around farming and to show children and their parents that sustainable farming can and should be cruelty free.
